10th ANNUAL BLESSING OF THE BIKES
Dayton OH-------Dayton Moose Lodge No. 73 – Moose Riders are sponsoring the 10th Annual “BLESSING OF THE BIKES”, on Sunday May 16th, 2009 (rain date May 23rd) at parking lot D, of Dayton’s Welcome Stadium, just off I-75, next to UD arena. This is the 10th anniversary and special things are planned.


The “BLESSING OF THE BIKES” provides an opportunity for all motorcycle riders to have their bikes (and there selves) blessed for a safe riding season, while promoting a positive image of the motorcyclist to the community. The “BLESSING OF THE BIKES” also raised donations for the “SPECIAL WISH FOUNDATION” and the “GREENBUCS”, local chapter of AMBUCS.


Again this year is a “Bike Show” hosted by(TBD), $5.00 entry fee per bike.


Admission to the Blessing is only a  $2.00 per person donation -----Entertainment, Food, Refreshments, Door Prizes, 50/50 raffles, Live Band, Vendors, start at 10:00 AM. The “BLESSING” by Father Dale Peterka, starts at 1:00 PM.
Also available will be “BLESSING OF THE BIKES” collectors pins with year bars, tee shirts, bandannas, bells, motorcycle angel pins, blessed water, patches etc. Special 10th anniversary pins will also be available.
The “BLESSING” is open to all makes and models of motorcycles, as well as trikes, scooters, mini bikes, atv’s etc. All denominations and faiths are welcomed.


Again the “BLESSING OF THE BIKES” is an opportunity to help ensure a safe riding season, a chance of camaraderie and friendship among bikers, while helping to raise donations to the “A SPECIAL WISH FOUNDATION” and “GREENBUCS”.
Also this year, Miami Valley Hospital’s Care Flight helicopter will also land and be on static display. They will do a fly over prior to the opening ceremonies.
